Transferring an Airalo eSIM to a new iPhone

After upgrading to a new iPhone, the Airalo plan from the old device is no longer available. Airalo eSIM profiles are tied to the device they were first installed on — they don't migrate during a standard iOS-to-iOS transfer.

- Airalo plans use single-use QR codes; once consumed they cannot be re-scanned.
- iOS's eSIM transfer (Quick Transfer) only works with eSIMs that the carrier supports for transfer; Airalo does not currently support Quick Transfer.
- The plan's underlying carrier may have policies preventing transfer.

- 1Open the Airalo app, navigate to My eSIMs, and locate the active plan.
- 2Tap Support inside the Airalo app and request a transfer for the plan, including the new device's IMEI / EID.
- 3Wait for Airalo support to provide a new activation code (usually under 24 hours).
- 4On the new iPhone, Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → enter the new activation code.
- 5Remove the Airalo line from the old iPhone to avoid double-billing.
