These terms govern your use of esimcompatibility.com, including the website, the public API, and the embeddable widget. By using any of these, you agree to these terms.
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using the site, public API endpoints (/api/*), or embed widget, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The service
esimcompatibility.com publishes free reference data about eSIM compatibility for consumer devices, eSIM providers, and country coverage. The service is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, for informational use only.
3. Data accuracy
We make a good-faith effort to keep device, provider, and country data accurate and current. Information is paraphrased from public sources (manufacturer specifications, carrier websites, regulator publications) and may contain errors or omissions. Device behavior may change with firmware updates; provider terms may change without notice. Always verify with the manufacturer or provider before making a purchase decision based on what you read here.
4. Provider listings
Listings for third-party eSIM providers are informational. We do not endorse, warrant, or represent any provider. Your transactions with any provider are between you and that provider; we are not a party to those transactions and have no liability arising from them.
5. Intellectual property
The site's content (text, layout, code, design) is owned by us or our licensors. The compatibility database is made available under a permissive attribution model — see the API documentation for terms. Third-party trademarks (e.g., Apple, Samsung, Airalo) are the property of their respective owners and used here for identification only.
6. Public API
The public API endpoints (/api/check, /api/detect) are provided free for non-abusive use, with attribution. Reasonable request rates are expected; sustained automated scraping or denial-of-service patterns may result in IP-based blocking without notice. Caching responses on your side is strongly encouraged.
7. Prohibited uses
You agree not to: • Use the service in a way that violates any applicable law. • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or compromise the security of the service. • Misrepresent compatibility data to mislead consumers (e.g., claiming a device supports eSIM when it does not). • Use the embed widget to deceive users about the source of the data.
8. No warranties
The service is provided "as-is" and "as-available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of your use of the service — including but not limited to a faulty compatibility result, a provider's failure to deliver, or an inaccurate setup guide.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless esimcompatibility.com and its operators from any claim arising from your misuse of the service, including but not limited to violation of these terms or applicable law.
11. Changes
We may update these terms over time. Material changes will be noted with a new effective date. Continued use of the service after a change indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's jurisdiction. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction. (Specific jurisdiction to be confirmed by counsel before launch.)
